Action by plaintiff Tom Welch, d/b/a Tom Welch Accounting Service, to recover $1,429.75 for bookkeeping services performed
and bookkeeping materials furnished by plaintiff for defendant Roger Walby at his request between July 5, 1960, and September
26, 1961. The complaint alleged that defendant had agreed to pay plaintiff the amount that such services and materials were reasonably
worth. A statement itemizing the time of performance of services was attached to the complaint. Only $26.70 of the total claimed
of $1,429.75 was for materials, and the remainder was for services charged at the rate of $3 per hour. Defendant served and
filed an answer and counterclaim in which defendant:
